The focal point of the poster is a photograph of a classic Oakland movie theater sign, a nod to the city’s historic architecture and cinematic culture. Bold, energetic hues reflect the vibrancy and diversity of Oakland’s neighbourhoods, capturing the movie’s dynamic essence. Recognisable graffiti elements, sourced from my own photography of Oakland’s street art, are woven into the design.
